The heart of Germantown, the CBD is at the crossroads of Poplar Avenue and Germantown Road. This area includes the historic Old Germantown and its Railroad Depot, as well as the Municipal Center, where the civic buildings such as City Hall, the Library, The Germantown Athletic Club and the Germantown Performing Arts Center are located. It is also the central core of retail shopping, business and the Methodist Le Bonheur Hospital campus.

1. Saddle Creek Shopping

Saddle Creek is the first shopping center in the nation developed in 1987 as a Lifestyle Center. With its central location in Germantown, Tennessee; it is still one of the best. Over 70% of Saddle Creek’s retailers are unique to the Memphis market, including Allen Edmonds, Altar’d State, Anthropologie, Apple, Athleta, Banana Republic, Brighton, Brooks Brothers, Free People, J. Crew, Jos. A. Bank, Kendra Scott, lululemon, Madewell, Michael Kors, Paper Source, SEE Eyewear, Soft Surroundings, UNTUCKit, and Vera Bradley, to name a few.

2. City Hall

Germantown City Hall contains several departments and services, including Administration, human resources, finance, municipal court and the police department.

3. Thornwood

The first mixed-use development in the City to utilize the SmartCode, Thornwood is comprised of five phases and includes retail, restaurants, office, hospitality, and multi-family. A wide streetscape, integrated civic space, and location within walking distance of the Germantown Performing Arts Center and the Germantown Athletic Club offers an exceptional work/play experience.

4. West Fraser

West Fraser is a diversified wood products company with more than 60 facilities in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. From responsibly sourced and sustainably managed forest resources, the Company produces lumber, engineered wood (OSB, LVL, MDF, plywood, particleboard), and other products including pulp, newsprint, wood chips, and renewable energy. West Fraser’s products are used in home construction, repair and remodeling, industrial applications, papers, tissue and box materials. West Fraser chose Germantown for its US Operations office.

5. Baptist Outpatient Care Center / OrthoSouth Clinic & Surgery Center

After a $20M redevelopment in 2021, this prime medical location became home to Baptist Medical Group-Outpatient Care Center as well as OrthoSouth's clinic and surgery center.

Baptist Medical Group-Outpatient Care Center concentrates on a comprehensive array of outpatient rehabilitation and diagnostic services, to treat many types of injuries and conditions, such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord, neurologic disease, amputations, fractures, bone and joint conditions and a variety of specialty programs.

6. Methodist Hospital

Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital is a nationally recognized, 319-bed, full service hospital located in a community setting. Also located on campus is the Women’s and Children’s Pavilion. The hospital offers a wide range of services including: bariatric surgery, cardiology, diabetes & endocrinology, maternity, 24-hr emergency room, asthma treatment, cancer care, certified stroke center, gastroenterology & GI surgery, imaging and diagnostic services, medical nutrition therapy, nephrology, orthopedics, pulmonary, rehabilitation - (physical, speech and occupational therapy), surgical services, and women's health.
